Azure, Microsoft’s internet-scale cloud services platform provides an operating system and a set of developer services. Azure can be used to build new applications that can be run from the cloud or to enhance existing applications with cloud-based capabilities. It reduces the need for up-front technology purchases, and enables developers to quickly and simply create applications running in the cloud using their existing skills with the Microsoft Visual Studio development environment and .NET Framework. In this session, Iain will provide an overview of the key concepts of Azure.
